Quebec from the Sky

Description

A fountain of life and a historic communications channel, the St. Lawrence is the soul of Quebec. This film is a journey along 800 km of its shoreline to meet the keepers of this majestic river.

From a retired couple that hail all arrivals with flags and national anthems, or the restoring of historical lighthouses, organizing spectacular dives in the Saguenay fjord or photographing the wide open spaces of Anticosti Island, we meet the enthusiasts who could not live without the permanent spectacle offered by the St. Lawrence.

And even when the St. Lawrence is at its worst, when its rages cause devastation on a major scale, such as the immense tides in December of 2010, nothing in the world would drag these people away from the banks of this river of life.
